“Black rails, Yellow tape is the second part of a video hexalogy, unfolding in London, a city where I once lived. Continuing the seven minute structure, the work layers manipulated images, panoramas, and fragments of Google Earth to explore the infrastructures beneath the surface of urban life. This chapter engages with London as a place of both memory and estrangement, tracing its architectures and the interaction with it.”

Arya Rambod (b. 2004, Iran) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Zurich. His work explores the relationship between infrastructure, human behaviour, and economy through moving image, installation, and digital media. Combining research with experimentation, he reconfigures infrastructural systems within affective and historical frameworks, exposing their latent tensions.
