Touch, 2025
Scannography
100 x 70 cm

“Scannography series happened because of my desire to discover an image making process that is created with a physical impact. This image is captured with a help on portable hand scanner, which cannot take a picture if it’s tiny wheels do not rotate on the surface of whatever it may touch. Work “Touch” plays with our inability to recognise a body part just by seeing bits of bare skin. In this performance routine, hand-scanner and I, capture abstraction motives our bodies hold.”

Margarita Rozenberg (*2001) is a mixed media artist with extensive immigrant background. Her practice often deals with loss and disappearing memory of places she once knew like the back of her hand. She holds unfinished, due to war, Bachelor of Fine Arts from BHSAD (Moscow, Russia) and currently continues the studies at ZHdK (Zürich, Switzerland).
