Light, mixed media
100 x 140 x 0,2 cm

“I find myself completely absorbed in the making of pigments, light, reflection and transparency. I have investigated light through my mixed media installations, which are bloomed to life by a material I discovered, which was formerly used in the printing industry. Light reflects on the surface of the piece almost mirror-like in a golden hue. When moving around the installation, the reflections change, revealing the color of the dye hidden beneath, blue.”

Sara Micus (*2002) is a Spanish-German artist searching for the balance within the essence of fragility. It is reflected in her work, through light and mixed media. Raised on a Mediterranean island, Micus left to study Painting Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. She later moved to Berlin, where internships with artists Gregor Hildebrandt and Jorinde Voigt shaped her view of the art world. Currently based in Zurich, she studies Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts.
